Uchaguzi360 operates this civic accountability platform. By accessing or using the service, you agree to these Terms of Service and to the handling of information described in our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree with these terms, do not create an account, submit an issue, or use interactive service features.

You are responsible for providing accurate registration information, keeping access to your account secure, and notifying us if you believe your account has been used without permission. You must use the service only through lawful means.

Uchaguzi360 is intended to help citizens identify public service concerns, follow reported progress, and review publicly available accountability information. It is not an emergency reporting channel, an election authority, a government agency, or a substitute for official legal or administrative procedures.

You retain ownership of content that you submit, including issue descriptions, comments, and photographs. You must have the right to submit that content and must make reports honestly and responsibly.

By submitting content, you grant Uchaguzi360 permission to store, process, review, sanitise, moderate, publish, display, and otherwise use that content as needed to operate the platform and present civic accountability information. This permission applies only for service operation, public accountability records, safety, and related platform purposes.

Submissions may be reviewed before publication. We may withhold, edit for safety or clarity, limit visibility of, or remove content that presents privacy, safety, accuracy, abuse, or legal concerns. Publication of a report does not mean that Uchaguzi360 has verified every allegation or endorsed a user's statement.

You must not use the platform to:

• Submit knowingly false reports, impersonate another person, or misrepresent your authority.
• Harass, threaten, intimidate, defame, or unlawfully target any person or group.
• Publish another person's private information or content without a lawful basis or permission.
• Upload unlawful content, spam the service, interfere with platform operations, or attempt unauthorised access.

Where available, you may choose to receive SMS or other issue updates. Optional notification preferences can be withdrawn through available account controls or by contacting us. Standard network or messaging charges imposed by your provider may apply.

Status updates, public scorecards, issue activity, and related platform records are provided for civic information and accountability. They are not official government findings, election results, legal determinations, or a guarantee that a public body will act.

We may change, suspend, limit, or discontinue platform features as needed to operate or protect the service. We may restrict accounts or content where necessary to address misuse, security concerns, platform integrity, or applicable legal requirements.

We may update these terms as the platform develops. Any published update will show its effective date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the service after an updated version takes effect means that the updated terms apply to your subsequent use.
